A Full Day of Katharion
We've been running Katharion for a few days now. We're still set at the lowest possible anti-spam setting, so our Barracuda is still doing a little work, but what a difference. So take a look at these statistics from our Barracuda. Pretty obvious when Katharion went into operation?
We get a few simple email reports each day that give a quick indication of what's going on. Here's the overall summary report for all users:
Then I also get a daily report showing *exactly* what was blocked, giving me a chance to release it:
Included in that daily report is a list of all the viruses, including phishing scams, that were blocked:
Yup, I think I'm liking this...

I also have put a large number of companies and ministries on this service and it is working quite well. Also, if anyone is interested, I'm a Katharion reseller.

Viant is also a Katharion reseller. We're very excited about the next release which will allow users to specify at what spam score an email is included in a users quarantine and what spam scores to drop. It will also allow you to sort emails by spam score which will also be very useful. Right now we're hearing that it's only a couple months out! I think once those features are added plus the centralized quarantine which allows an IT Admin to view staff quarantine in a single bucket they will have a compelling leg up on the competition. They've already got great filtering with very simple to use controls. If you're interested in learning more or a free trial I'd be glad to talk with you more!

Does Katharion provide user side controls of their own spam quarantine? The biggest plus to me of the Barracuda was the users could unblock their own messages instead of calling me every 5 minutes asking me to add someone to the whitelist or release an e-mail from someone.
Here is a snapshot of our barracuda mail stats. looks like on average we're receiving about twice the ammount as you.

Yes, everyone has their own account and can deal with their quarantine as well as set preferences.
