Create Systems

Part 4 of our New Training Plans may be the most obvious, but also the most complicated.  This part is inspired by Andy Stanley's talk at Drive 06, regarding Systems.  We need Systems that help lead people to automatically, maybe even unknowingly, learn new things.  Maybe it's not even "new" things, just things people need to know.

It would be fairly easy to set up long check lists and tests and require people to go through classes, or tests, or some other "jump through hoops" concept, but that almost defeats the whole concept.  Hiring people who are naturally inquisitive and like to learn new things would be a big help, too.  An unlimited training budget would also be nice.

I'm kind of embarrassed to say that I don't have a plan.  I don't even have a wild idea!  I'm still looking.  Do you have a system that encourages lifetime learning?
