(raw notes)
The final discussion of the day was the age old question: "what's next?"
What's the next step for CITRT
- Today, we're an un-group. We're a logo and a URL. We're a brand
- WE have to be making the connections (Evangelism) if we want to grow
- Reference: League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA); ~$50/year. Code of ethics. A model to follow?
- Intentional outreach
- Each one reach one?
- Non-denominational
- Need resources to find names of other people to contact. (Phone book! NACBA)
- Coordinated effort of all bloggers to push CITRT at the same time?
- If there were a *formal* board, "what would we do?"
- The un-structured format is part of the appeal of CITRT
- We are NOT broken by over-capacity, so why are we trying to solve it? We are NOT broken by being small -- there's even benefit. Why are we trying to fix it? Are there other guys NOT benefiting from this sort of experience? Probably!
- V bulletin; IRC; itDiscuss; blogs, aggregator; calendar: (Justin Jennings runs multiple Vbulletin sites) Do we need other things?
- RSS (with email enabled) from main site
- Email notifications of events
- Calendar
October, date yet to be determined, Seacoast Church, near Charleston, SC. Start making plans. What would you want to see?
