Metro-E is Up and Running

Bandwidth2_2It's been a long time coming, but finally, our old T-1 has been put to sleep and our new Metro-E is up and running.  We had way less than a 30-minute outage to make the transition, and the relief was immediate!  Even though it's "only" a 10Mbit circuit, what a difference.  Now the big question: how long will "just 10" be enough?

Welcome to the club! ;-) Isn't it great to download or transfer almost anything in minutes! Our 95th percentile use has been 2.5mb the 6 weeks we have been on our fiber connection.

It will be only a matter of time before ministry figures out a way to use that much bandwidth, but that is a good thing!

I'm drooling. How much is this Metro E tasty goodness costing you?

==> Clif, do you mean before the incredible cost of trenching and conduit, or after? :-) Let's just say that year 1 will cost more than year 2 & 3 together...
