What's with the bottle of alcohol in the picture?

re: alcohol. OK, I'm just guessing, but seems the cleanliness would be rather critical in dealing with these teeny tiny fibers.

Sorry for not commenting sooner -- been too busy on my blog to check Tony's comments :-) The alcohol was indeed for cleaning prior to fusing.
