Things have improved a lot since my "woes" posting a few days ago. In reality, we probably had about 75% of all things go right initially, but that last 25% was a killer! Since we did our updates, I've seen several much nicer summaries of what needs to be done. The good folks at Interdev sent out a list that seems to be right on target. With their permission, I've reproduced it here:
With the new Daylight Savings Time (DST) standard beginning this Sunday, March 11, there are several updates that need to be applied to ensure a smooth transition for the time change. These updates will prevent possible scheduling errors from the time change occurring three weeks earlier this year.
There are four steps needed to ensure a smooth transition:
1) Apply all critical Windows Updates on your servers by running the Windows Update program (Start -> Programs -> Windows Update) and selecting Custom. This will enable you to select only the critical updates and make sure that IE7 does not get installed without your permission.
2) Apply all critical Windows Updates to individual workstations. You can verify that all Windows Updates have been applied by running Windows Update manually from the start menu as described in the previous step.
3) Apply the Exchange Server DST update on the Exchange server. This tool can be downloaded from Microsoft and is detailed in knowledge base article 926666.
4) Run the Exchange Calendar Update tool against all affected users, servers, or both OR correct individual e-mail application calendars using the Outlook Time Zone Data Update tool. The Exchange Calendar Update tool can be downloaded from here and is documented in knowledge base article 930879. The Outlook Time Zone Data Update tool can be downloaded from here and is documented in knowledge base article 931667.
You can review Microsoft’s recommendations and procedures for the Daylight Savings Update by following this link. Alternatively, if you would like Interdev to handle all updates for you, just give us a call.
If you have third party calendaring software, such as a Black Berry Server, you may need to contact that company for updates pertaining to Daylight Savings Time.
These updates as well as future updates, systems management and monitoring can be taken care of routinely through our Managed Services Program. Interdev can provide your organization with peace of mind in knowing that your systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches, your backups are completing successfully and critical system parameters such as free hard disk space and processor utilization are within normal limits.

The problem we're facing now is the Exchange Calendar Update tool, KB930879 isn't working properly for us. We also tried the VM bundle, KB933185. Both error out with a VB error, 0x80004005. Have you heard of this?
